All About Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque is an incredible city, and you don’t have to be here long to know it. There are so many things to do in Albuquerque, and there are many cultures represented. There is no other city where we’d rather be based. And supporting local businesses in the region is our passion. To give you a little insight into why we love living and working in this area, we’d like to share some of our favorite things about the region.

All That Sandia Peak Has to Offer

One of the highlights of Northeast Albuquerque is how close it is to Cibola National Forest, Sandia Peak, and the Tramway. Outdoor enthusiast loves this area because of the abundance of outdoor activities available. And the Tramway is a favorite when you have out-of-town guests visiting, or just to get above it all. Not to mention, the Sandia Pueblo is just to the north of the city limits. For outdoor lovers, northeast Albuquerque is the place to be!

Albuquerque’s southeast area has lots of features we love, like the historic Nob Hill area and the University of New Mexico. Nob Hill has tons of great places to go like breweries, taquerias, clubs, and galleries. The Albuquerque International Sunport (just our fancy Albuquerque way of saying “airport”) is also in this area, as well as the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History.

The Heart and Soul of ABQ

The southwest section of Albuquerque is also home to so many features and places we love! The Rio Grande runs straight down the east side of the city, and the ABQ Bio Park Zoo and Botanic Gardens are right on the river. Old Town Albuquerque is in this region, and you could spend days just exploring all Old Town has to offer. The Old Town Plaza is a cultural hub with the historic San Felipe de Neri Church as a main focal point. If you want to see the heart of Albuquerque and get a taste of its history, you must go to Old Town.

Rich History Abounds Here

Albuquerque is also full of history, including petroglyphs which date back hundreds and even thousands of years! Petroglyph National Monument preserves tens of thousands of petroglyphs left behind by the ancestors of the Pueblo people. And the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is the perfect place to start if you want to learn about the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico.

No matter where you go in Albuquerque, there is something amazing to see and fun places to go. Whether you’re riding a tram to over 10,000 feet, visiting classic Route 66 sites at Nob Hill, or diving into the land’s history exploring native cultures and peoples, Albuquerque is a wonderful place!
